Products & Methods
What products do you install?
We use premium, Australian-made insulation with lifetime product warranties, selected to suit your home and goals. Our primary insulation product is Bradford Gold Hi-Performance Ceiling Batts, however your quote will clearly mention the products we recommend for your needs.
Can you remove old insulation?
Yes. By hand or commercial vacuum, we remove old, damp or contaminated insulation and dispose of it responsibly before installing new product.
Do I need to remove old insulation first?
If existing insulation is degraded, damp, contaminated or patchy, removal and vacuuming give the best outcome. If it’s clean and even, a top-up layer may be appropriate — we’ll advise after inspection.
Is wall insulation possible without major demolition?
Often, yes. We offer blow-in solutions that can be installed through small, neat access points that we patch and prepare for paint.
What is cross-hatching and why use it?
Cross-hatching means installing a second layer perpendicular to the first, so batts bridge joists and small joints don’t line up. It reduces thermal bridging, improves overall coverage and helps achieve higher target R-values without compression.
Can insulation help with noise?
Yes. Ceiling, wall and underfloor insulation all contribute to a quieter home. We also offer acoustic-rated options.
Is insulation safe for families and pets?
Yes. We install modern, independently tested products and follow strict safety practices during and after installation.
Pricing, Offers & Finance
Do you have a price beat offer?
We pride ourselves on competitive pricing and we’ll do our very best to beat* like-for-like quotes on insulation.
*Price beat applies to comparable product class, R-value, and scope; written competitor quote required prior to booking.
Is it cheaper to just install insulation myself?
Buying materials-only can look cheaper, but poor fit, compression and gaps undermine performance — and working in roof spaces has significant safety risks. Our team delivers a safe, compliant result with documentation.
What finance options are available?
Eligible ACT homeowners may access low-interest government loans for energy-efficiency upgrades. We can guide you through current options and how to apply.
Are government rebates or loans available?
Eligible ACT homeowners can access government rebates and low-interest loans for energy-efficiency upgrades. We’ll outline current options and help you understand what applies to you.
Electrical & Safety
What about electrical safety?
Safety is our top priority. If any electrical work is required, we’ll arrange for our licensed electrician to provide a free, no-obligation quote for the necessary upgrades. Once approved, all works will be completed to the highest safety standards, and a Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES) will be issued and lodged with Access Canberra. We’ll also keep a copy of the CES with your job records for complete peace of mind.
Why might electrical work be required with insulation?
Insulation can change how heat dissipates around wiring and lights. We check safety clearances, coordinate any pre-insulation electrical works, and ensure a licensed electrician issues a Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES) where work is performed. We also ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations.
Will the power be turned off during installation?
Yes — it’s a safety precaution while our team is working in the roof or underfloor space around electrics.
Credentials
Is your team EEC certified?
Yes — our installers are EEC certified, and we follow best-practice installation standards across ceiling, wall and underfloor work for consistent, gap-free results.
Who will be on site, and are you licensed and insured?
Our installs are completed by our in-house, EEC-certified insulation team (not labour-hire). Where electrical work is required, we use licensed ACT electricians. We carry public liability insurance, workers’ compensation, and our crews hold a White Card and Working at Heights certification. A site lead supervises every job and signs off on quality and safety before handover.
What best-practice standards do you follow for insulation and electrical safety?
We install to EEC best-practice and relevant Australian Standards. That includes correct clearances around downlights, fans and flues, use of compliant downlight covers/guards where required, pre-start safety checks and SWMS, and photo-based QA. Any electrical works are performed by our licensed electrician with a Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES) issued and lodged with Access Canberra.
Compliance & Property Management
Do you provide documentation for rental compliance?
Yes. Our assessment reports and completion photos are designed for property managers and landlords.
Do you coordinate with tenants?
Yes. We liaise directly with tenants to arrange assessments and keep property managers or owners updated on every property visit.
Strata & Portfolio
Do you work with strata management companies?
Yes. We partner with many of Canberra’s leading strata and property-management firms to deliver large-scale, portfolio insulation programs across residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings. Our EEC-certified team is set up for multi-property work orders, with clear reporting, tenant coordination and fast turnaround.
Warranties
What warranties do you provide?
You get manufacturer product warranties (often lifetime) plus our workmanship guarantee. You’ll be in safe hands with our experienced team.
